International Experience:

Nicaragua, June of 2003 – Worked in a primary care setting in rural Nicaragua, providing adult and pediatric care for approximately 3 weeks

Ecuador/Peru, October – December 2004 – Worked in 2 hospitals spending half of my time working with a plastic surgeon, and half of my time rotating through other specialties such as ER, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Naturalistic Medicine, and Indigenous medicine

Mexico, September 2005 – Worked with Ophthalmologist from UC-San Diego performing 9 cataract surgeries on a Friday-Sunday mission trip

Nicaragua, June 2006 – Worked in an extremely rural primary care setting providing eye exams, and primary adult care while completing research over common diseases of the eye

*Spanish Fluency – Also spent time in both Ecuador and Peru taking conversational and medical Spanish classes.
